East Perth Cemeteries

This web site is the result of a collaborative project between students from All Saints' College and the National Trust of Australia (WA). Research for the web pages has been undertaken at the State Library of Western Australia and the State Records Office. This website enables you to find information about some of the early settlers buried at the East Perth Cemeteries and life at that time.

East Perth Cemeteries have been through good and bad times since 1829.

Over the years they have had to cope with vandalism and the elements amongst other issues. In 1994 the place was vested with the National Trust.

The Trust has responsibility for the maintenance and preservation of East Perth Cemeteries.

The Cemeteries must rely on the community to help, by weeding, clearing up rubbish and securing the area to preserve the heritage area.

We hope that the web site is of use to you.

The site includes some images from the State Library of Western Australia. Copyright for other images is acknowledged or they are in the public domain.
